Dick Armey: Tea Party Vote Not a Lock for Perry or Anyone

."
Even so, Armey warns that social activists in the Tea Party have serious reservations about some of Perry's actions.
Perry has the same thing going for him that Armey thinks any GOP nominee has going for them: "He's not Obama."
Armey says the Tea Party is afraid of what he calls "Obama's incompetence" and they "thank the Lord he is too incompetent to do what he would like to do."
As for rising speculation former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin may join the race, that thought intrigues Armey. He will be looking to see if Palin has a broader appeal than the current crop of candidates.

Enter the Dragon

Bruce Lee called it the art of fighting without fighting.

Lee died in 1973, after the filming "." It was first martial arts movie to become a major motion picture. It forever bestowed Lee with a special, posthumous status in the martial arts and entertainment world.

There's a pivotal scene in "" where Lee and others are sailing to a martial arts tournament. Lee was small, only 5"7" and about 135 pounds. But he was all muscle and lightning fast. In the film, a strapping bully is shoving deck hands around the boat, challenging them to fight. Each declines. Finally the goon gets to Lee and asks him his "style" of combat. Lee informs the man it's the way of "fighting without fighting." The man insists that Lee demonstrate some of his moves. Lee thinks about it for a moment and suggests they board a skiff tied up alongside the larger vessel. Lee points out there's an island in the distance and they can sail to on the skiff and spar on the beach.

After some consternation, the man agrees and climbs into the skiff. And then Lee lets out the tow line attached to the smaller craft. It sends the ruffian floating out to sea.

Fighting without fighting.

on the steps FEMA has taken in coordination with states that could feel the impact of the storm later this week," said Earnest.

The last hurricane to strike the U.S. was Ike in the summer of 2008 while Obama was running for office. Irene could become a category 3 by Tuesday.

Paul Ryan for President in 2012?

the people who are calling them, 'You know what, I owe it to you, I'll take a look at it.'"

On August 7th, Chris Wallace on FOX NEWS SUNDAY asked Ryan about 2012, and he responded, "My answer is still no....My answer is still the same as it always has been the last time you asked me."

But with almost six months until the first votes are cast in the Iowa Caucuses, there is still time if Ryan chooses to move forward.

Romney Campaigns in New Hampshire as GOP Spotlight Shifts to Iowa

. "The buck stops at the President's desk," said Romney, "and he needs to take the steps necessary to restore our financial standing."

GOP candidates have repeatedly questioned the president's economic decisions, and Romney has not been shy about trumpeting his success in the business world. This morning the governor noted that three years into Mr. Obama's administration the unemployment rate is still above 9 percent, adding, "the president is out of his depth when it comes to his understanding of the private sector."

During his 2008 presidential bid Mitt Romney invested $1 million to win the Iowa Straw Poll, but ultimately that failed to translate into enough support to win the Caucus. This time his campaign decided not to participate, but the victor could see a bump in poll numbers. Michele Bachmann is spending a considerable amount of time in Iowa, hoping her conservative message resonates with voters. Romney has largely ignored the Hawkeye State, believing strong showings in the early primary states will pave the way to the White House. However, later this week he'll attend the annual Iowa State Fair and is also scheduled to participate in Thursday's Fox News/Washington Examiner debate in Ames.

Bachmann and Pawlenty Square Off In Iowa

is like a manure spreader in a windstorm, he's throwing it in every direction and it doesn't smell good," said Pawlenty. We'll know a lot more about the two candidates on Saturday night at the Ames Straw Poll. With a win, Bachmann could solidify her standing as the frontrunner in the leadoff caucus state.

A strong finish for Pawlenty, on the other hand, would put some much needed wind in his sails, and a poor showing could be nearly devastating.
